High Country Heroes Music Series Continues this Weekend at Murphy’s
Winter has taken its toll. The house seems so familiar. The car is buried under six feet of ice and wintry-mix.
Murphy’s Restaurant and Pub, located on King Street in downtown Boone, has just the cure for this claustrophobic anxiety you may be feeling.
The line up of musicians for this weekend brings just the heat the High Country needs to warm its morale. All shows start at 10:00 p.m.
Beginning the weekend’s showcase of talent this Friday, February 12, Tequila at Dawn, a local band, brings its psychedelic blues jams to the stage with plenty of energy for those in need. This four man band has influences from such bands as Phish, Yonder Mountain String Band and EOTO.
This Saturday, February 13, Living Art /Lincoln Masters continue the weekend’s music series with a night of music sure to carry you over to next weekend’s festivities.
Before stopping in for the show on Saturday night, take a minute to check out a band by the name of No Eyes, starting at 9:30 p.m. at 641rpm in downtown Boone. This band will be coming soon to Murphy’s as part of the same music series, so get a sneak peek at the talent before they play Murphy’s on Friday, March 19.
