Take the Feinstein Challenge, Help Conquer Hunger in the High Country
Hospitality House has joined with the Alan Shawn Feinstein Foundation of Rhode Island to help fight hunger in our area. The Feinstein Foundation is dividing $1 million among nonprofit agencies throughout the country that help those in need. More than 3,000 participating agencies nationwide have used the challenge to raise more than $800 million, making it one of the most successful grassroots campaigns to fight hunger in the country.
At the conclusion of the challenge, Hospitality House will receive a grant from the Feinstein Foundation based on the amount of funds raised between March 1 and April 30. Your donation during March and April will directly affect the amount of money given to Hospitality House through the Feinstein grant. All cash donations made to Hospitality House that mention the Feinstein Challenge during this time will be included.
“We are excited about the opportunity to participate in the Feinstein Challenge as a way to continue addressing the hunger issue in the High Country,” said Jill Kuykendall, director of development.
“Last year, our Bread of Life program served 99,748 meals and provided 684 food boxes to our neighbors in need,” she said. “The money received from the Feinstein Challenge will contribute to our work of helping folks rebuild their lives.”
