Boone Saloon Hosts Local Snow Sports Film March 11

The Best of the Worst Winter, a locally produced film about skiing and snowboarding in the High Country during the 2009-10 winter season, will have a special screening at Boone Saloon on Thursday, March 11, at 8:00 p.m. Admission is free.
“Although the film isn’t complete, we want to show some of the great winter sports adventures our area has to offer at a time of year when there is still a great opportunity to go out boarding or skiing,” Eric Crews, primary videographer and editor of the film, said. So far this season, Crews and the rest of the High Country Adventures team have documented some of the best winter conditions the area has seen in recent history.
“This year will go down in history as being one of the worst winters Boone has ever had,” Crews said. “But for some area athletes, the huge snowstorms that have made this one of the worst winters make it one of the best for area snowsports athletes.”
