Watauga Arts Council Presents Artfull Palette March 12
Tickets Prices Increase After Friday
The Artfull Palette will feature hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar in the Rosen Concert Hall lobby.

Artfull Palette attendees will enjoy performances by area students and professional artists.
The Watauga Arts Council presents an evening of delightful performances, fine food and good company at its annual Artfull Palette, taking place Friday, March 12, at Rosen Concert Hall, located within the Broyhill Music Center on the ASU campus.
The event lasts from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. and features specialty hors d’oeuvres from Bandana’s Catering, a cash bar, a silent auction and live performances ranging from bluegrass to classical.
“The Artfull Palette…is very aptly named since it is truly a palette of the arts presented for your enjoyment,” said Cherry Johnson, executive director of the Watauga Arts Council.
Advance tickets are $40 for a single ticket and $75 for two through this Friday, March 5; ticket prices then increase to $45 and $85, respectively. A snow date is scheduled for Saturday, March 13.
The fundraiser was originally scheduled to occur in January but was postponed because of inclement weather.
Performing at Artfull Palette will be the Watauga High School Pacers dance team, bluegrass band Amantha Mill, violinist Vanessa Chumbley and pianist Aaron Ames. Chumbley and Ames were winners in the Hayes School of Music’s prestigious Concerto-Aria Competition.
Local attorney and musician Becca Eggers-Gryder will serve as the emcee for the night.
At the end of the performances, silent auction winners can pick up their prizes while everyone enjoys cake from Hallmark Cakes and coffee from Espresso News.
Nearly 30 items are available in the silent auction, including a session at The Sanctuary day spa, original paintings, the autograph of world-famous mime Marcel Marceau, dinner for two at Bistro Roca, a trip to the Biltmore House, a feng shui analysis of your home, a year’s supply of bagels from Panera Bread, private concerts by The Crooked Road Ramblers, the Forget-Me-Nots and Upright and Breathin’, gift baskets and more.
Bidding for the silent auction has already begun and will end on the night of Artfull Palette. Items in the silent auction have been posted on the Watauga County Arts Council’s Facebook page. Bids can be submitted by commenting on the posted item and stating your bid. Each item has a minimum bid, and bid increases must be in increments of $5. Online bidding will cease at 4:00 p.m. on the date of the Artfull Palette, and the online bids will become the starting bids on the bid sheets at the event.
