Governor Perdue Packs the House
Crowd Welcomes Governor to Watauga County

Gov. Bev Perdue, pictured at center and inset, took time away from the standing room-only crowd that came to hear her speak at the Watauga County Administration Building on Monday, March 8, to meet with fellow Democrats, Sen. Steve Goss (D-45), pictured on left, and Rep. Cullie Tarleton (D-93), pictured on right. The stop in Boone was part of Perdue’s mini-tour of Western North Carolina counties and municipalities; local chambers of commerce arranged the tour and visit.
In her remarks to the Boone crowd, Perdue placed great emphasis on job creation, job training and new job initiatives that her administration believes will jumpstart the state economy while making it more sustainable. Photos by Lonnie Webster
