2nd Annual High Country Winegrowers Association Meeting March 31
The High Country Winegrowers Association will host its 2nd annual meeting at the Watauga Agricultural Conference Center, located at 252 Poplar Grove Road in Boone, on Wednesday, March 31, at 7:00 p.m. The public is welcome and admission is free.
Pre-spring vineyard setup will be the meeting’s theme, with emphasis on pruning to avoid spring frost, pesticide spraying, vineyard equipment suppliers, new area vineyard initiatives and wine grape varieties suitable for the High Country. Following the meeting, a wine tasting will take place for members. The wine tasting will include varieties that can be grown in the region but have yet to be planted.
